Fun Camps & Classes for Students of All Ages
In addition to the regular school year (September through June), Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater offers a variety of classes and camps for various ages and ability levels throughout the summer. These include Princess Camp, Young Dancer’s Program and the 3-week Summer Intensive. Make sure to sign up for a summer program at our Southern New Hampshire dance school!
Audition notices and information regarding summer programs at other professional schools across the country are also available to students on the school bulletin board throughout the year. These include professional schools such as Boston Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and more.
This princess-themed dance camp is a special dance program designed for young girls who are between the ages of 3 and 5. This program will incorporate “all things princess” into 3 fun-filled half days of dance instruction. Daily activities will begin with a dance class featuring ballet, tumbling, and more.
This program is designed for both the beginner and intermediate-level dancer and is an introduction to more serious training. For students ages 6-8, no previous training is required. For older students ages 9-12 previous dance training is required.
A Daily Open Intermediate/Advanced Ballet Class is offered Monday through Friday, 5:30-7:00 June 17th through August 29th. This class is for individuals who wish to stay in shape during the summer months when regular classes are not in session. No Registriation needed. Drop-ins welcome.
During the summer months Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater offers a wide variety of drop-in classes. In addition to our popular Open Intermediate/Advanced Ballet class Southern NH Dance Theater also offers an pre-school, pre-ballet, adult beginner ballet, adult tap, open hip-hop and contemporary. Classes run between between 6 to 10 weeks. No advanced registration needed — drop-ins welcome.
This program is designed for the serious dancer, ages 10 and older. The program provides students with the opportunity to pursue their dance education and training on a daily basis for three weeks. Students will receive a daily ballet class, along with additional classes in modern, jazz, contemporary, pointe, variations, dance conditioning, and more. All levels meet Monday through Saturday and receive a minimum of 3 classes per day. In addition to the faculty listed, additional guest instructors are brought in throughout the 3-week period.
