Summer Programs

In addition to the regular school year (September through June), Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater offers a variety of classes and camps for various ages and ability throughout the summer including Princess Camp, Pirate Camp, a Children's Dance Camp, our Young Dancer's Program and the Two-Week Summer Intensive.

Audition notices and information regarding summer programs at other professional schools across the country including Boston Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, The Rock School, School of American Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet are also available to students on the school bulletin board throughout the year.

Princess Camp

This princess-themed dance camp is a special dance program designed for young girl's age 3 to 5 years old. This program will incorporate "all things princess" into three fun-filled half days of dance instruction. Daily activities will begin with a dance class of ballet, tumbling and more.

Children's Dance Camp/Fairy Houses™

Based on the storybook series written by local author Tracy Kane, we have prepared a fun week of dance centered around fairies, fairy houses, nature and FUN!

Young Dancer's Program

This program is designed for the beginning/intermediate dancer ages 9 to 12, it is an introduction to more serious dance training.

Summer Open Ballet Class

A Summer Open Ballet Class is offered Monday through Friday 4:30 to 6:00, during the last two weeks of June and last three week of August for individuals who wish to stay in shape during the summer months when regular classes are not in session. Drop-ins are welcome.

July Session

Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater offers a variety of morning, afternoon and evening classes in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap and boys classes during the month of July, including adult and pre-school classes. Registration is recommended in advance. Students may participate in classes for the entire month or may "drop-in" as available.

Summer Intensive

This program is designed for the serious dancer, ages 10 and older, and provides students with the opportunity to pursue their dance education and training on a daily basis for two weeks. Students will receive a daily ballet class along with additional classes in Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Pointe, Variations, Dance conditioning and more. All levels meet Monday through Saturday and receive a minimum of three classes per day. In addition to the faculty listed additional guest instructors are brought in throughout the two-week period.
