
In addition to the regular school year (September through June), Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater offers a variety of classes throughout the month of July, a Children's Dance Camp, our Young Dancer's Program and the Two-Week Summer Intensive. Information on all summer classes and program registrations are generally available to students and parents by early spring.
Audition notices and information for upper level programs at other schools across the country (including Boston Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, The Rock School, School of American Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet) are also available to students on the school bulletin board throughout the year.
 No experience is needed! This program offers students ages 5-8 the opportunity to study ballet, tap, jazz and choreography for one full week in July. Two sessions are usually offered with both half-day and full-day programs available. Enrollment is limited. All students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Dance classes are generally held in the morning hours. Children who choose the full day program participate in a variety of fun and creative activities in the afternoons centered on performing and creative arts. View more information  Princess Camp is a special dance program designed for young girls age 3 to 6 years old. This program will incorporate "all things princess" into three fun-filled mornings of dance instruction. Daily activities will begin with a dance class of ballet, tumbling and more. View more information  Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater offers a variety of evening classes in ballet, modern, jazz, and conditioning during the month of July, including adult and pre-school classes. Registration is recommended in advance. Students may participate in classes for the entire month or may "drop-in" as available. The class schedule is usually based loosely on the regular school year schedule. View more information  This program is designed to offer students ages 10 and up the opportunity to pursue their dance education and training on a daily basis for two weeks. Students will receive a daily ballet class along with additional classes in modern dance, jazz, conditioning, character dance, injury prevention and dance history. Additional classes for those who qualify include pointe, variations, men's class and pas de deux. All levels meet Monday through Saturday, with a minimum of three classes each day. Emphasized at all levels is the process of learning and developing skills both artistically and technically. Various guest artists are often brought in throughout the two-week period.
No audition is required for the Two-Week Summer Intensive. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are placed into levels based on age and ability. For the convenience of those who are unable to attend two weeks, the option to attend one week is made available. View more information  This program is designed for the beginner and intermediate dancer ages 8-12 as an introduction to more serious dance training. Previous dance training is required for this program. In this half-day program, students receive a daily ballet class along with an additional class in jazz, modern dance and/or body conditioning (stretch and strengthening).
