Southern New Hampshire Youth Ballet's annual production of The Nutcracker

Every holiday season, Southern New Hampshire Youth Ballet (SNHDT's affiliated performing company) presents its annual production of The Nutcracker. This season, the performances will again be at The Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH. All intermediate/advanced students and children ages 8 and up are eligible to audition for the production. For students at the school, participation in The Nutcracker is completely voluntary. Dancers who audition for SNHYB company are also expected to participate in The Nutcracker audition and production. Before deciding to participate in The Nutcracker, students and their families should carefully consider the large time commitment required for rehearsals and performances. Please review our guidelines and requirements available at our studios before you decide to audition. Dancers must be enrolled in at least one ballet class per week at SNHDT to audition for The Nutcracker.

Audition Dates & Times

Ballet Level 7: Friday, Sept. 24, 2010  5pm-7pm

Children's Roles: Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010  3pm-4:30pm

Ballet Level 5&6: Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010  12:30pm-3pm

Audition Fee: $20.00 per dancer

Nuctcracker rehearsals will begin Friday, October 1st, 2010.

Southern New Hampshire Youth Ballet

Southern NH Youth Ballet (SNHYB) is the school's affiliate performing company. Every September, open auditions are held for upper level ballet students who attend classes at SNHDT. Dancers who are accepted into the company must be able to commit to the entire performing season (September through June). Please review our guidelines and requirements for SNHYB members available at our studios before you decide to audition.
