Southern NH Youth Ballet To Perform Two Pieces At RDA Northeast Festival

On March 21, 2010 Southern NH Youth Ballet was adjudicated by Regional Dance America.  We are pleased to announce that two of the four pieces that were submitted were selected to be performed at Regional Dance America’s Northeast Festival, at the Byham Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, May 20th through May 23^rd.  

“Symphonic Variations” choreographed by Douglas Davis was selected to open Friday’s Performance.  This light-hearted upbeat piece is performed to music by Camille Saint-Saens.  The company dancers are Elisabeth Wilson, Ryan Nye, Jane Apple, Erika Davis, Kerry Dibble, Isabelle Limondin, Mary-Margaret Sullivan and Rebecca Wilson.  Mr. Davis’ choreography has also been featured at the Gala performance at RDA Northeast festival in the spring of 2008. 
 
Selected to appear at the Festival’s Gala Performance on Saturday evening will be Lynn Cote’s “Women of Kooraloona”. Set to music by Frank Martin, Ms. Cote originally set this piece on The Washington Ballet during her tenure as the companies’ resident choreographer.  Featured in this ballet are company dancers Erika Davis, Kerry Dibble, Isabelle Limondin, Elisabeth Wilson and Rebecca Wilson.
