Southern NH Youth Ballet Announces Formation of Guild Southern New Hampshire Youth Ballet (SNHYB), a non-profit organization, is the affiliate performing company of Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater. SNHYB serves as a training ground for local youths and the pre-professional student by providing them with intensive training, individual coaching, performing opportunities, and the exposure to master classes from various guest artists. SNHYB is organized to act as a performing group, with the intent of promoting and encouraging the knowledge and appreciation of ballet and other dance forms through performance and education.
In 2005, SNHYB was accepted with performing status to Regional Dance America Northeast (RDA), a national organization of pre-professional ballet companies. Southern NH Youth Ballet is the first ballet company ever from New Hampshire, and currently the only company from New England, to be invited as a performing company with this prestigious national organization.
In order to defray some of the expenses company members incur, SNHYB is pleased to announce the formation of an official volunteer group, Southern NH Youth Ballet Guild. The SNHYB Guild will function primarily as a volunteer group which will help raise additional funds to help support the various activities of the performing company. The Guild activities include fundraising, poster distribution, mailings and more. Looking to become more involved? We welcome your support and appreciate your time and enthusiasm.
