Southern NH Youth Ballet receives prestigious grant award from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts.
Southern NH Youth Ballet is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an Operating Grant from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. This competitive award will help the Youth Ballet (SNHYB) to further its mission of serving the Southern New Hampshire region by promoting and encouraging the knowledge and appreciation of ballet and other dance forms through performance and education. As the affiliate performing company of Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater, SNHYB also participates in community outreach projects with the intent of bringing dance performances to wider audiences, including local private and public schools and senior groups. Additionally, the performing company serves as a training ground for local youths and the pre-professional student by providing them with intensive training, individual coaching, performing opportunities, and exposure to master classes from various guest artists.
This prestigious grant award is made possible by appropriations from the Governor and State Legislature and a National Endowment for the Arts grant to the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts.
