Sallie Werst jazz teacher at Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater recently auditioned to be on the Boston Celtics dance team. She was one of approximately 250 girls from Boston, Los Angeles and New York City. Sallie was one of the dancers that made it to the final audition held at the House of Blues in Boston. She performed in a group Blues themed opening number. Each dancer then performed in groups of 4 and did a solo and took part in a pageant style swimsuit competition. Judges for the audition consisted of local radio and TV personalities as well as Miss USA contestants. Although Sallie did not make the final cut she said it was a great experience and that she would try again next year. Clips of the audition can be seen on Celtics.com and myfoxboston.com.
